We went to Chuck-E-Cheez yesterday for our nephew's birthday. It was insane. :-)
Really though, we did have fun, and played games for tickets (which we forgot to spend) and ate pizza and did presents and everything. Haden wasn't quite sure what to make of the giant rat in the picture, but he didn't seem to mind it either. Overall, a good time was had by everyone and we eventually had to leave once Haden got stimulation overload. He went crazy and the second we walked outside he was calm and happy again. Guess there's only so much a little mind can take at once. :-)

Saturday we went to the Texas Ranch History Museum. It was a blast! We walked around and saw a lot of old houses and things that people used to live back in the 18-1900's. It was an outside museum too, with concrete sidewalks going everywhere in a circuit so you could follow the history as it happened.
Oh, and we took pictures next to a GINORMOUS steam-powered train too! It was way fun! (I'll try to post a pic later). :-)
Haden had his own ice cream cone today! On our walk we stopped by the ice cream shop and it was fun! He did get awfully sticky though, so he had to get wiped down afterwards.
Also, on the way back I got bit by a 10-pound shitzu. Who's owners were the owners of a Bible book store. Seriously. Ridiculous. :-)
From my wife's Facebook status:
"To be fair, I told Haden not to spit his juice on the floor. I said nothing about the trash can. Well played Haden, well played."
It's nice that we have a smart, fun, lively boy. Really.
Who wants boring anyways? :-)
Long live boys being boys!
Haden got his first real big boy haircut yesterday! He looks very handsome. I'll try and post a pic soon. Other than that, I'm still stick (blarg!) but I did manage to make it through 3/4 of school today and give my sermon for lab, so that was good.
Other than that things are pretty slow here. The grandparent's on D's side are here from this afternoon through early Sunday morning, so it should be fun having the company.
Anyways, it's been a long day, so I'm outta here!
So we spent most of the weekend wondering if it was Haden or Danielle who was going to get sick.
Woke up this morning only to realize that the only one we weren't worried about (me), got sick. Ha.
Haden colored a pretty picture for me though, and while it didn't make me unsick it did make me feel better. He colored the whole page in washable marker, and it now resides on my office door, making me feel special.
I love being a dad.
P.S.: Thank you D for helping him color. I also love being a husband. :-)
New look! Hope you like it! I think it's a bit easier to read. Plus, the picture slide-shows actually fit! Woohoo! :-)
